Sweden Shots

Shots from Stockholm and the areas around Jonkoping. Crisp, Clean air and water. It is best to view when you have family and friends who can show you around. Late at night I got to drive around with the Police down in Jonkoping.
I loved the place and the people of Jonkoping. No wonder Agnetha turned out to be a Special Singer. Lots of talent down there in her Home Town.

A Few Places I Walked In Sweden

Some shots of the many places I packed into a small Vacation and Business Trip to Sweden. I did not want to miss a thing and stayed up all hours wlaking around the cities and places I visited. Rangers love to walk and just stand and stare at things. This trip I did not have to duck or take cover as I was in a Peace Mode and not geared up for any Battle to be won! Just able to walk around in another land and be like everyone else for a short while.

Peace, In Another Place

I can walk along any trail, through a city of people, or climb any hill, walk any street. I know I once was there in my youth, and I find a place full of memories for my future. The people all greet me and speak of what we did togehter in the past when we were younger. Now we are older, and we speak of our childrens children and their future.

Great place to visit.

Some more pictures of Sweden

Some more pictures of Sweden.

The last one is downtown and is that famous metallic looking thing they put up at the heart of the city.During the day it looks like modern art.At night it looks real strange-like a toy model of a city apartment complex of the future.

Anyways the Swedes love the thing and marks the Center of the City.

I also took a bunch of shots of the museum at night.

BenGans Music Store In Stockholm

I went into the store where you can order directly from the Official ABBA Site.
Your Music or DVD orders come from the main distributuion location else where in the city. This is the actual walk-in and buy the item store.

They use to have a major section along the back wall with every item on display for all things ABBA, just like the Shop sections on the site.

They have this one wall section with a display for all the ABBA CDs now and they are priced as expected for the Stockholm area.

The new book about ABBA called, "ABBA The Book", by Jean-Marie Potiez, is on sale at the same location for 199 Kroner.

Most ABBA CDs run about 125 to 145 Kroner.

They have every CD out with all the seperate members having their own CDs there as well.

This was the only store that had the ABBA Box Sets, I looked for at many locations all over Jonkoping and Stockholm.

I got three of the white box set and they had plenty of the blue box sets as well.

The ABBA Gold set I wanted did not have the American #1 play ability for our DVD players.

You have to order that one on line.

I already own one but wanted one from the store for my collection.

Jill Johnson, is a new and Popular Music Star over there right now. Every place I went she was sold out. She is sort of a country music singer, but she has a smooth voice. This store stocks her stuff and has just about every item I searched for on the shelfs.

She sounds like she is strait from Nashville here in the USA, and is a pretty girl with a talent to match. Real down home type of girl.

Carola, and many of the other famous Swedish singers and bands can also be found with their CDs well stocked in the store.

The staff was the same folks I dealt with last year, and know their music. So if you are looking for any item just ask them and they will get you straight!

They also had a bunch of new LP Records with extended play come in from the facotry. The Swedish night clubs are playing a lot of those songs on LP Records all over Stockholm and Jonkoping.

For one song they are a little steep, but for the collector they are a must have!

There are several places to buy old Records with the new long play Records, they just came out with, at several locations around town. So do your shopping and planning to get to them.
The store is down town and a short walk from the Central Station in the heart of Stockholm.

Every club is playing the ABBA Music all over the many places I visited.

You will enjoy the sights and sounds of the folks passing by and the many stores that display some cool stuff.

Everyone wants to "Strike A Pose" when you take out your camera.

Yes! Many are of people just sitting around taking in the sun at the small Cafe locations along the side streets.

There is no place to park down town unless you pay. Usually a full day is about $35.00 USA Money or more. Should you find a place to park on the street it is for a few minutes only or no more than half an hour at a time.

The store has a wide selection and is one of the biggest in Stockholm.

Last year "Fall Out Boys" was the big scene and sound there and they played a concert or two while I was there.

Many young ladies went over to the store and just "Bombed" the store with orders of the group. They sold so many they could not hardly keep up with the young ladies coming and going.

Today it is "One Republic", and they love the group. When you pack a building full of Teenage girls screaming and yelling!

Everyone on the street came from Every place on Earth. It is now a Cosmo City with every walk of life enjoying the sun and being around others.

Sweden is a Nutrual Country, which means behave yourself and do not get stupid in public.
